Afterschool America exists to serve kids and families across North Texas. That trust matters to us. This policy explains, in plain language, what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it. We never sell your personal information — ever.

We collect only what we need to serve you well:

• Contact information — your name, email address, and phone number when you fill out a form, ask a question, or reach out about programs, volunteering, or partnerships.
• Program inquiries — the reason you're reaching out (for example, homeschool co-op, church partnership, or resale shop) so the right team member can follow up.
• Donation information — gifts are processed securely by our giving platform, Fundraise Up. We receive your name, contact details, and gift amount, but we never see or store your full card or bank numbers.
• Basic website data — like most websites, we may collect anonymized usage information (pages visited, general location, device type) to help us improve the site.

• To respond to your questions and connect you with the right program or person.
• To process donations and send receipts and thank-you notes.
• To keep families and supporters updated on programs, events, and impact — only if you've asked to hear from us.
• To meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements for a nonprofit organization.

Our programs serve children, but our website is intended for parents, guardians, and adult supporters. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this website. Any information about a child participating in a program is provided directly by a parent or guardian and is used solely to care for and serve that child.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with the trusted service providers who help us operate — for example, our donation processor (Fundraise Up) and email delivery service — and only to the extent needed to perform those services. We may also disclose information if required by law.

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and secure, access-controlled systems. Payment details are handled entirely by our PCI-compliant giving platform and never touch our servers.

You may ask us at any time to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop receiving communications from us. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe option.
