Donation Terms & Conditions

Every gift to Afterschool America helps kids and families across North Texas find a place to belong and a chance to become. These terms apply to donations made through this website, our giving platform (Fundraise Up), or any other channel we operate.

Afterschool America is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (Tax ID 75-2836781). Donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. No goods or services are provided in exchange for your contribution unless otherwise stated in writing. You will receive a receipt for every gift; please keep it for your tax records and consult your tax advisor with questions about deductibility.

Gifts are used to further our mission — homeschool co-ops, classes, family support, and the programs described on this site — along with the reasonable operating costs required to do that work well. Undesignated gifts are directed where the need is greatest. If you designate a gift for a specific purpose, we will honor that intent; if a program is ever fully funded or discontinued, the gift will be applied to the closest related need.

Online donations are processed by Fundraise Up, our secure, PCI-compliant giving platform. Afterschool America never sees or stores your full credit card or bank account numbers. If you give using a digital wallet, bank transfer, or other method, that transaction is likewise handled by the payment provider under its own security and privacy terms.

If you choose to give monthly (or on another recurring schedule), your payment method will be charged automatically at the interval you selected until you cancel. You can pause, change, or cancel a recurring gift at any time through the donor portal link in your gift receipt, or by contacting us. Changes take effect before your next scheduled charge.

Donations are generally final and non-refundable. However, if you believe a gift was made in error — for example, a duplicate charge or an incorrect amount — please contact us within 30 days and we will review it promptly and make it right. Refunds, when approved, are issued to the original payment method.

Donor information is handled according to our Privacy Policy. We never sell or share donor lists. You may choose to give anonymously; your name will not appear in any public recognition unless you opt in.

We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted on this page, with its "last updated" date, is the version in effect. Continued giving after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
